I’ve worked in digital marketing and advertising since moving in Auckland in 2015. Candle making started quietly on the side, something I enjoyed doing to switch off, especially when making gifts for friends.

After the pandemic, more people began asking for candles, mainly because they liked the simple packaging and personalised labels. What started as something I did in my own time slowly became a small business.

Jervois Road Gifts launched in 2023, named after Jervois Road in Auckland, where I spent time helping at a local dementia home.

Today, Jervois Road Gifts makes handcrafted soy candles in Auckland alongside NZ gift boxes designed for everyday use and special occasions. Candles are poured in small batches, and gift boxes are put together with care, making them easy to give and easy to enjoy.
